First Day Back

At color guard, that is!  And it was alright.  I was unprepared, epicly, and I had a few issues besides that, but I'm trying out a new personal philosophy of understanding my mistakes, but forgiving myself, and simply trying not to make the same mistakes again.  So I will be prepared for Thursday!
I am always really amazed at how well new members pick things up, and how quickly.  I always tell people this, probably much to everyone's annoyance, but when I first started, it literally took me a week of practice to get drop-spins and double-time down.  Which means these girls are really freaking speedy McSpeeder awesome pants, and it's fantastic
I really hope that we get our new instructor soon too -- the sooner we get our instructor, the sooner we can get used to her/him and their way of doing things.  And the sooner we can start figuring out who the captains are going to be, because... there's some tension over that right now.  I really really would like to have an instructor!  Soooon!  Hopefully by Thursday.
Dearest marching band, it's feeling good to be back.  BUT I'M GOING TO MISS THE SENIORS SO MUCH IT'S MAKING MY INSIDES CRY!  :'(  And it's freaking me out that this is my last year, too...  And I need to send Eva's birthday present, because it is going to be very very late as it is. :-P  So, yeah!  Marching band is great, and sad right now, and hopeful.

In other news, A days occur every other weekday, and it makes me tired just thinking about it.  So since I wrote approximately four poems in creative writing today about being tired, I'm going to try to get all of my homework done right now, so that I can take a nap and/or go to bed early!  Yes.  That sounds fantastic.

          I love you all.  DFTBA!
