May He Live Long, Too!

Yesterday was Ian's 19th birthday, and it was pretty cool. We went out to Leatherby's with my family and Andrea and Dave with their boys. I just have this to say about it: My eyes are always bigger than my stomach. : P
After, we ended up having an adventure to WalMart! Fake Russian accents all the way. (I love my family.) : )

Today was the second official day of marching band!

I really like our routine! At least, what we have of it (we still have at least 60 something counts that need filling). There's this really cool ripple with cones, at the "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday, Saturday, Saturday to Sunday" part of "I Gotta Feeling". We have 4 rows, and one row starts cones 2 counts after the other, and then we come back together at the "Saturday, Saturday" part. You'll just have to come see us in a parade to figure out what I'm talking about. (I'm Thursday.) : )

I'm really happy with our guard so far! 2 days into this new routine, and everyone's getting it down pretty well, even the newbies! Remembering how hard everything was when I was new, I'm really proud of them all. : )

I can't wait until we actually get out there and start marching! Some sections have started marching, but alas, we have not. Maybe tomorrow? (hopeful look)
