The birds today were amazing to see. It has been about half of a year since I saw as many birds as I did. The wind was blowing and it started getting colder (and at some point I couldn't feel my "trigger finger"), but it was all worth it. Usually birds fly away whenever I come near, but the wind drowned out everything. There were so many different bird calls, and to me all of the birds looked the same. I always would try to catch it when suddenly as if on an unheard cue, they would all fly up in a cloud, turn, and fly to another group of trees. They flew right in front of me a few times, and once while my camera was telling me it had a low battery and didn't want to take any pictures they flew right over me.It was fascinating and beautiful. Of course, the best (well, only) real shot I got of them flying is on here. I so wish I had a video camera, because it was amazing. I hope they come back again tomorrow.
(PS: I'm so thrilled that my camera is actually starting to like me.)
