Whenever I am trying to sleep, I get weird things stuck in my head.
Last night I was moderately terrified of the thought of the Big One (the earthquake). That kept me panicked for at least a half hour. Then I started thinking about Pixar. That made me think about how insignificant Pixar is to the Big One. That led me thinking to the earthquake again.
Then I started wishing that my brain had an ON_\l/_OFF switch. Of course, if I turned it off, I would have to depend on someone else to turn it back on. That wouldn't be a good idea.
I decided that I would try the 'OFF' switch anyway. So I started to force myself to think about Ramen noodles, for the sake of sleep. That didn't work, especially when I started to think about Ramen on ice cream. Yuck.
Eventually I did fall asleep (amazingly). Just to be awoken by my sister's insane bell alarm that went off at 6:00. She never wakes up before 7:30. But anyway. I started singing to myself. It was weird. Then I realized that I was singing "Just Dance" by Lady GaGa. At this point, I thought that I had gone insane.
I need to find better ways to make myself tired.
Of course, I don't have weird things stuck in my head only at bedtime! No no. During a test in geometry one day (when I was still in school *tear*) I got the Pi Song stuck in my head. Appropriate, I suppose. Then during US History, I got "Karma Chameleon" stuck in my head. I continued to get it stuck in at least two other people's heads.
Yesterday, I had the first part of "Blink" stuck in my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wejl_daRVZU But that's okay, because Doctor Who is awesome. And that is the best episode. :D
What gets stuck in your head? And do you think Doctor Who is completely awesome? (Oh, he is, don't deny it.)
