Finally getting around to write this... anyway!
So this bus ride was uneventful in the dreadful way (our bus worked!... and smelled normal!), but we passed the Great Salt Lake on the way there, and I must say, it was beautiful. One of the only reasons I can say I'm proud to live in Utah. :)
Tooele High School was pretty awesome too! The bleachers in the gym spelled Tooele... and it was awesome. :) I got to thinking that Paige would have fit in perfectly there, because the school colors were purple, black, and white. Home of the buffaloes! (Ha ha, BUFF PRIDE!)
We got to see some guards that we hadn't seen before (since we got to go in before we performed this time, not only after), and they were pretty good. The junior guards were so cute. And no one saw that I just said that...
I have no idea how the placements were... except for ours, and Bingham. So, what am I waiting for? How'd we place??
We. Got. 5TH! Which is fantastic news because it means we didn't go down, we kinda got better... I think. This time it was out of 11 guards, last time it was out of 9. (5th/11, 5th/9, 7th/10... so it has been this season) We got FIRST place in ensemble (I was very happy!), but we got 9th place in movement. Yeah, sadness, I know. Corey says that if we had gotten about 5th place in movement, we probably could have taken third. SO, that's what we'll be working on this week! We're so close, I know we can do this! (People have been surprised that our winter guard, being in its first year, has been doing this good... We're gonna surprise 'em even more!) :)
