So, the competition yesterday was looooots of fun! Of course, we got out there and all I could think about was that darn timing line... but it was still fun. "Are the judges ready? Is the guard ready? Copper Hills color guard, you may now take the floor in competition." And then I missed the step off. And then next thing I knew I was in the circle, rushing to get to the right spot. Then next thing I knew, we were folding up our floor.
That means about 3 minutes and 30 seconds went by like 10 seconds. REALLY TRULY. I had to wonder where all of the time went...
We ended up getting 7th place out of 9. Not too fantastic... but hey, we're not too bad too, right? Bingham got first place in our class, and Urban Expressions' show was aaaawesome (I loved their floor!), and they got 1st place in the Independent A class (whooo, Patrick!).
So. We have some work to do before our next competition on the 6th.
