Last night was awesome. Stayed up pretty late partying, even later reading afterward. :)
When I woke up this morning it was to my mom asking me if I wanted to go to Avatar or Princess and the Frog with my cousins who are visiting from Montana. Me at 11 AM with my 5 1/2 hours of sleep lazily answered, "I duncare. Hutever." Which meant Princess and the Frog because of what I assume would be my little sister's whining that she wanted me to be in the same movie as her. :) Then my cousin wanted to see Avatar, so we all went to see Avatar. BEST OF CHANCE THIS YEAR SO FAR (not much choice, eh?).
Avatar was absolutely AMAZING. It is now my new favorite movie ever. Pandora looked fantastic, almost like you could be there - and in comparison to where I live on Earth, I must say I definitely wished I was. And the story was cool too, especially because it really gets you to think. Now I can't help but think how much I hate the Jar Heads/Sky People/Humans because we destroy everything in our path out of pure greed - and if you think about history, that's pretty much all that humans do. I could really connect with the Na'vi belief system too. (The world is a network of energy, and any energy that we have is only borrowed and must be given back to create new life. It really is what I had thought about already about "life".) I can definitely say that this movie is going to make me think more about my choices so that I don't have to be a Jar Head. What a great way to start off the year. :)
I am wearing funky neon socks that are not matching. Lovely, eh? Yes. They are. Honestly. :)
