Autumn

The weather outside was absolutely perfect walking home today.

Clouds off in the distance but blue sky above, but still slightly overcast.
Just cold enough to be chilly, but warm enough to keep your nose comfortable.
Early Halloween decorations on porch steps painting visions of masks and whispered ghost stories.
Leaves just getting crunchy, making way for ideas of caramel and fire streets.
Wind blowing through the trees to make the leaves into soft clanging bells.

No wonder this is my favorite season. :)

  1. That's very poetic and descriptive. I can imagine it perfectly. Except that for me, I was freezing the whole time.

  4. I hate spring weather. It's so drippy. Yuck. :P Must be my least favorite season.

  5. Summer is the best. I'll take the heat over the cold any day. Plus it's much easier to feel happy when you've got the sun shining than when you've got grey clouds, no matter how pretty the falling snow may be!

  6. You guys definitely have different opinions than I do. Especially you JT.... in all actuality, I hate sunny days. And I hate sunsets too...

Someone's bound to say something about sunsets, so I might as well say something: Isn't it just the worst when you're walking around minding your own business and suddenly the sun wants to get right in your eyes, and you have to turn all the way around to get it out? Yeah. And the long shadows... Just don't like it...

So the point is, Autumn is perfect! (For me)

  7. JT, I hate summer! Actually, hate is to strong, I like the milder seasons, autumn and spring, but I chose spring on top, but I'll take autumn over winter or summer any day. Rachel, I agree, I hate it when the sun gets in your eyes, and your temporarily blinded.
