Not and Ev

As in "Not and Ev visited my mind today. I have Nothing and Everything to say at the same time."

Nothing:
-I do way too weird of stuff, and I don't even mean to. I told my friend in biology today that "Rachel is trapped inside of a Cap'n Crunch box."
---And just barely I was thinking about washing bananas, in Spanish (since when did I THINK some things in Spanish?).
---Yesterday I coined the term "guariflophobia" which is "the intense fear of maiming a rifle". Apparently Corey laughed pretty hard at that.
---Yesterday I got white out all over my fingers. So I would look at my hand and think that it was mold. People seemed to get a kick out of this too.
-If I didn't live at my house, I would probably never be here. Open aiiiiir!

Everything:
-We learned a new dance for the beginning of Maria, which is all fine and dandy except for the fact that by the time we are supposed to be getting to our second set, I have four counts to get twenty yards. Eh, not gonna happen.
---We have a competition in a week. :( Stress much? Plus, we pretty much sucked at routine today. No one seems to be able to count out loud. I try, but then fail because I get off as soon as we get to third and fourth counts when we are in the process of turning around. Aagh! And we still have three more routines.
---I think I'm getting America down! (At least a LOT better than most of the rest of the color guard.) No one on color guard counts right! Kenna is always behind and she's like, "Rachel! You're counting too fast!" And Brittany is oftentimes ahead. Sheesh. And there are those who shalt not be named that simply have no clue what they are doing.
-I got my Pan de Muertos done for my Spanish cultural project on Sunday night! Problem is, I had no time to get it to Mrs. Thatcher early, so it was in my backpack. So now it is pretty much fally-aparty and you can't even tell it was ever braided. Mrs. Thatcher is usually good at understanding this stuff, though.
-YAY for SHAKESPEARE DAY! I can't freaking wait, even though it is all the way in May, or about there. I'm planning already. I want to make my own Florentine dress, and have already started research and such. I also have a Shakespeare book from the 1920's or 30's that I should try reading again, because people will think I am such a nerd when I quote it. :D
-Working on my girl scout Silver Award. It's pretty hard, mostly just to keep track of the stuff. Doreen has been doing it until now, but apparently she's laying it on us... I just hope I can keep up with this stuff. It'll be worth it though, when I get that award, even through all of the crappy paperwork that precedes it.

So now it's back to... Not and Ev, just lazing around in my head. And text book squished pan.

  1. I am so glad I don't have to move around much with the music. I get to stand in one spot the whole time.

  2. You are right to be glad. It just makes it all the worse when no one else seems to be counting. Or they just HAPPEN to forget what the count is right when you ask... Plus, we learned MORE dance today. (sarcasm) Yaaaay! (/sarcasm) And we still have routine for three songs to learn. WHY must we add on to Maria, when we have other songs with NO ROUTINE??? (And when no one can be together on Maria as is? Before, we're fine and dandy. Then as soon as the band starts playing - boom - everyone scurries around like someone just tried to shoot them. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.) :/

  3. Is the Silver Award the equivalent of the Eagle Scout, or is it one of the lesser awards you have to get before you can get the higher one? Or does it work totally differant?

  4. I have no knowledge of Boy Scouts at all, but I don't think that you have to get it before the Gold Award. But it's the second highest award you can get in girl scouts, if I remember right.
