I wrote about sock rock bands, nightmarish dreams, and The New Columbia Encyclopedia in the explanation, so I guess I had better explain.
First up, sock rock bands. One year, I was asked what I would name a band if I started one. I answered, "The Missing Sock Store," and that was that. It would be an awesome band name, would it not?
Second, nightmarish dreams. I had a dream in which my mom was going to marry a guy old enough to be my great uncle (what happened to my dad, I won't ever know). This guy told me to go back to bed when I got up to go to school because, and I quote my dream, "Girls don't need to go to school because boys are smarter," It might not have been a nightmare, but at that moment, it was scary enough to be a nightmare.
And thirdly, the New Columbia Encyclopedia (all hail!). This one is a longer story. This one day I had my two friends Paige and Kenna over at my house. I had this mug that I made in ceramics filled up with water and I wondered if I put my name on the bottom. Paige's science book lay open on the table. I tipped my mug upside down with water in it over Paige's book to see if my name was on it. I was being pretty smart, was I not? While I was freaking out over the water damaged science book, Paige was worried because her foot was wet. So, I did what my dad had taught me! I put paper towels between the pages, grabbed the biggest book I could find (in this case, it was the New Columbia Encyclopedia... that thing is massive!) and put it on top of it, and prayed. I literally prayed to the New Columbia Encyclopedia to save Paige's science book. On my knees. Hands clasped. Praying. My friends at this point were probably falling over themselves laughing, while I still panicked. The book was okay though, and my friends still laugh about it. So I guess I can jokingly say that my religion is the New Columbia Encyclopedia.
So, any explanation I have missed? Thank you, me, for bearing with me, me.
Wow. That is all I can say.
