Collections

Ever since I was young, I have had collections, as has everyone I've grown up with. When I was younger I collected rocks, fossils, and porcelain dolls. My sister who is eleven collects, rocks, bouncy balls, and stuffed animals.

Now though, I collect things with no use other than being cool (but with potential of becoming awesome with creativity). Put simply, I collect junk. For example: I have a red box filled up with bottle caps, missing clue pieces, useless keys, and other shiny things, much like the bird in the Olsen and Olsen mystery: The Case of the Hotel Who-Done-It. I'm just not lucky enough to find things of worth like the bird did.

I also collect: 1) boxes. My bed is filled up with boxes galore! And my bookcase has boxes stacked on it. My drawer has boxes too! I'm a box addict (but it is probably because of these boxes that my room doesn't look out of hand by my collections). 2) Sea shells. 3) Comic strips (namely Lio, Red and Rover, Bizarro, Zits, Nonsequitur, and that one that I can't remember). 4) Rocks and fossils. 5) Rubber ducks. 6) Anything that is cool enough to deserve room on my door (if I find the time to get a picture of my door up here, I will!). 7) Empty books/"journals"/"diaries". 8) Ribbon. 9) Buttons and beads. 10) et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

It seems that over the years, I have let my crafty side get the best of me! Oh me, oh my...

Does anyone else collect anything useful? Or not useful?

  1. I collected State Quarters, but I have them all. I don't really collect anything else, but I did at one time collect marbles, bouncy balls, and maybe something else. That's pretty much it.

  2. Oh! That's what I forgot! Marbles (but I guess et cetera pretty much covers that)!
